Golf Tip from the Pro
Improve Your Golf Swing
There are many ways to swing the golf club and proof of this is to watch a golf tournament on TV and see all those great players hitting the golf ball long and straight and yet not one swing looks the same.
However, one thing these great players have in common is that they all turn their shoulders allowing them to generate a lot of power. Most golfers understand the need for a
good shoulder turn, however, it is important to feel the sequence to obtain the correct turn. It is common to see too much shoulder turn early on in the backswing
(pic 1 below), resulting in a reverse pivot and lack of power.

The correct feeling should be of the hands and arms swinging away allowing the wrists to break (pic 2 below) resulting in a responsive action from the shoulders.

It is also important to understand that due to the posture and the axis we turn on, the left shoulder will go down slightly as it gets behind the ball (pic 3 - below).
