Improve Your Golf Putting - Rock your Shoulders for better putting
Putting is a game within a game and if we dont putt well, it is very difficult to score well no matter how well we strike the ball. A common reason for bad putting is the overuse of the hands during the stroke (see below).

When the hands are so active, direction and pace of the ball become difficult to control. The proper feeling during the putting stroke is of the hands remaining quiet and the arms maintaining a swing from the shoulders.

An exercise which will help you feel how the shoulders work is to place a club under your upper arms.

Then make a stroke with the upper arms supporting the club. This will promote a rocking action of the shoulders.
Take some putts using this exercise and then take some without using a club, keeping the upper arms close to the body as if the club was still there.
