The pool is a 15metre swimming pool at a constant dept of 4ft with a children's pool of 1.5ft.
The swimming pool has many features including a grotto with a waterfall which is great fun during kid's time. It is excellent for adults especially if you are suffering with an old shoulder injury to stand underneath the waterfall and you feel some relief from it.
Classes
We do a wide range of classes from body conditioning, aqua aerobics, step aerobics and exercise to music. I will give you a little bit of information on each class.
Body Conditioning
Body conditioning is the exercise and practice to build the body up for either improved normal performance, as in physical therapy, or in preparation for sports performance.
Aqua Aerobics
Aqua aerobics is the performance of aerobic exercise in shallow water such as a swimming pool. Aerobic exercises performed in a pool using the support and resistance of the water to burn fat, strengthen bones, and increase cardiovascular. It is similar to normal aerobics but the exercises take place in the water.
Step Aerobics
Step aerobics is a form of exercise that utilizes a platform ranging in height from four to ten inches. The platform, or step, is usually made of polyurethane and has a rubber tread. To increase height, steps are stacked one on top on another and nested. Participants combine a series of floor foot patterns with those that require stepping on and off the platform. Step exercises are normally performed with musical accompaniment. The recommended tempo ranges from 125 to 140 beats per minute, depending on the skill levels of the participants.
Exercise to Music
There's nothing more motivating than having exercise to music. Exercise to music is good for the body as well as the psyche. If you listen to music while exercising, your brain will probably work better too.
