Mount Juliet introduces offer to encourage Juniors
Mount Juliet, The Original Jack Nicklaus signature course in Ireland which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, has introduced a new programme aimed at encouraging Junior golfers. In the case of members, a 'Junior' (Under 18 years of age) may play free of charge with a parent on tee times after 3 PM , while for green fee visitors a 'Junior' may play free of charge as part of a 2, 3 or 4 ball teeing off after 3 PM.
Commenting on the offer, General Manager William Kirby said:
'Mount Juliet has long seen itself as an active supporter of golf in Ireland, right back to the days in the early '90's when it staged 3 Irish Opens to our more recent support of the Irish PGA through the Lexus Race to Mount Juliet. While this initiative is obviously on a smaller scale we see it as a way of encouraging younger people to play golf on a course with an international reputation and allow them to experience the joys of the game with their parents a win/win for both parents and children'
The initiative commences on June 27 and will run throughout the Summer and into the Autumn. In addition, as part of the Mount Juliet commitment to Junior Golf, resident pro Sean Cotter will give a dedicated Junior Golf clinic every Saturday morning between 10am - 11am where he will brief each junior on course etiquette as well as giving a short lesson.
