Mount Juliet Estate is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Thomastown Hurling Team. The patronage includes exclusive branding of new team playing shirts with the distinctive Mount Juliet pheasant displayed proudly across each one.

This new involvement sees Mount Juliet Estate continuing to build on the strong relationship it has with the surrounding local community and Thomastown. The Estate has a long history of supporting the locality, with families and employees living onsite until the 1980s. The association with Thomastown hurling represents a new era of engagement with the community.

Speaking at the presentation of the newly branded team shirts, Christine Murphy, General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate said: “We are delighted to continue to build on our heritage with sponsorship of the Thomastown Hurling Team.  There are important similarities between the histories of both Mount Juliet Estate and the GAA, with a strong focus on family and the community. a stand-out factor in both.”

“The branded team shirts represent a proud relationship for Mount Juliet Estate with this successful hurling team and the associated local community. The team is made up of players from Thomastown, including sons, grandsons, fathers, husbands, brothers, nephews, neighbours and friends, and so provides a natural fit with the Mount Juliet Estate family. We look forward to promoting Thomastown Hurling and fostering a strong partnership between the team and our staff.”

The Thomastown Hurling Team created history during the 2012/2013 season by emerging as winners in the Kilkenny Junior Championship and subsequently went on to secure the Leinster and All-Ireland titles.
