In the days before tractors, when Mount Juliet Estate was a working farm of several thousand acres, a great many people were employed and housed on the Estate. Back then, Hunter’s Yard would have had horses and hay lofts, as well as lodgings for the grooms, coachmen and stable boys.
Today, this elegant courtyard, just five minutes walk from the main house, is home to 16 bright, spacious rooms. A tranquil hideaway adjacent to the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course and only a few paces from the treatment rooms, the swimming pool and the tempting menus of both Kendal’s Brasserie Style Restaurant and The President’s Bar, which offers all-day dining, snacks and a grill menu.
In January Hunter's Yard at Mount Juliet Estate closed to facilitate a 12 month renovation and refurbishment project. The investment in Hunter's Yard includes building 93 bedrooms with conference and banquet facilities for up to 210 guests. Our new restaurant seating 140 guests will open in Spring 2017. The final completion date is yet to be finalised but we hope to have all areas reopened by the end of 2017.
Our Manor House and Rose Garden Lodges remain open.
