Golfing History Rewritten at One of Ireland’s Most Iconic Courses
This May, Mount Juliet Estate proudly welcomed the OFX Irish Legends back to its celebrated fairways. The event commenced on 12th May 2025, marking a significant moment in the estate’s storied golfing legacy.
Legends on a Legendary Course
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course, renowned for its pristine parkland setting and challenging layout, provided a fitting stage for the Legends Tour. As the only Irish venue to have hosted both the World Golf Championships and the Irish Open, Mount Juliet Estate reaffirmed its place at the pinnacle of professional golf in Ireland.
Throughout the tournament, spectators were treated to exceptional play by a field of golfing greats. South Africa’s James Kingston emerged victorious, finishing at 12-under-par, just one stroke ahead of Darren Fichardt, Peter Baker, and Keith Horne. Kingston’s remarkable performance included birdies on five of his last six holes, showcasing his skill and determination.
A Festival of Sport and Summer Elegance
The estate’s atmosphere matched the world-class sport on display. The Luxe Scot Celebrity Pro-Am brought together sporting stars, entertainers, and local personalities, creating a spirited sense of occasion. Notable participants included Robbie Fowler, Niall Quinn, Liam Brady, Keith Duffy, and Daniel O’Donnell. Off the course, live entertainment, food pop-ups, and family-friendly activities brought the grounds to life, offering something for every guest.
Celebrating Heritage, Hospitality, and Community
This year’s Irish Legends wasn’t just a sporting success — it was a celebration of connection. Local schools, golf fans, guests, and legends of the game came together to honour the timeless magic of golf at Mount Juliet Estate. Across 500 acres of rolling countryside, tradition met modern hospitality, with impeccable service, elegant surroundings, and five-star comfort at every turn.
Looking Ahead
With the success of this year’s OFX Irish Legends, Mount Juliet Estate continues to build on its legacy as one of Europe’s most prestigious golf destinations.
The estate extends its gratitude to all players, supporters, partners, and staff for their contribution to an unforgettable event.
