Children's Afternoon Tea in the Manor House
A sweet treat for the little ones – it’s the new
Mount Juliet Estate Children’s Afternoon Tea
At Mount Juliet Estate, afternoon tea has always been a lovely daily ritual, served in one of the elegant Manor House rooms, each with its own particular character.
Now to mark a special occasion or treat (or just to ensure some peace and quiet while you enjoy your own afternoon tea!) Mount Juliet Estate introduces a special afternoon tea designed just for children.
A charmingly enjoyable way to introduce youngsters to this much loved tradition – and the table manners that go with it – Mount Juliet Estate Children’s Afternoon Tea is served daily in the Manor House, overlooking the lush grounds of the estate and the sweeping river views.
In this gorgeous setting, surrounded by fine paintings, antiques and china, some of which has been in the house for generations, Mount Juliet Estate Children’s Afternoon Tea gives the little ones a mini-version of the grown-ups’ experience.
Instead of the selection of fine teas or specialty coffees though, kids get a delicious vanilla milkshake, and their sandwich selection includes toasted brioche & Nutella, ham & cheese finger sandwiches, a cream cheese bagel and cheese sticks. They also have their own versions of the iconic afternoon tea sweet treats too, tweaked to suit the younger palate, including rocky roads, chocolate marshmallows, cup cakes, cake bombs, biscuits and a mini knickerbocker glory.
Children of all ages are welcome at Mount Juliet Estate, with a dedicated Baby Concierge for the tiniest, and a selection of activity clubs for different age groups – Little Rascals (for 4-7 year-olds), Lords and Ladies (from 8-12 year-olds), and Mr. Jinks’ Club (for those aged 12+). These kids’ clubs are jam-packed with age-specific activities from archery, treasure hunts, rounders, picnics, fishing, pony club, golf, falconry and cinema evenings to lots of seasonal events.
Now there is an afternoon tea to add to that exciting list of activities, with Mount Juliet Estate Children’s Afternoon Tea at €15 per child available in the Manor House daily from 1pm to 5pm, with pre-booking essential.
