Mount Juliet Estate at Savour Kilkenny 2017

Savour Kilkenny is one of the most famouse food festivals in Ireland. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny, in Ireland’s South East, Savour Kilkenny brings together local and national top quality food produce, talented Chefs, a mix of exciting, tasty food options in our food market, and plenty more for everybody to enjoy.

This year Mount Juliet Estate will be participating with two events.


Sunday 29th October

At 1:30pm on the Parade, Executive Chef, Ken Harker and head chef John Kelly will present 'The Joys of Mount Juliet'.


With the Michelin Star ‘Lady Helen’ Restaurant at it’s focus, Mount Juliet Estate also has other dining options at ‘The Hound’ and ‘The Clubhouse’. Executive Chef Ken Harker & Head Chef John Kelly will treat the audience to three menu samples – preparing, a starter, main course and dessert from each of the three restaurants! With a plentiful supply of honest-to-goodness ingredients on the Mount Juliet Estate, and from the many artisan producers in the region, Ken & John’s demo will highlight how the magic is born!

Monday 30th October

At the Hound Restaurant, Mount Juliet Estate from 12:30pm to 5:00pm there will be a very special Savour Kilkenny lunch running. Executive Chef Ken Harker, shares the philosophy of prioritising the core indigenous ingredients of Irish cuisine supporting local Irish farmers, food producers and fishermen. The Bank Holiday Local Lunch served in the new Hound Restaurant, includes a choice of delicious starters, mains and desserts all with ingredients sourced in Kilkenny.

The Savour Kilkenny menu on Monday 30th October includes ingredients from local suppliers such as Goatsbridge trout pate, Kilkenny rosé veal and Highbank orchid mousse cider jelly.
